- The home team is responsible for setting up and taking down the dart board, locking the cabinet, and taping down the toe board.
- Games start at 6:30 P.M., provided there are two players
from each team. A 15-minute grace period is allowed before the
first game. Any team with less than three players forfeits all
games.
- The determinations of play:
- Captain or team member of the visiting team will call the coin toss.
- The winner of the toss will determine whether they will shoot first or second.
- The team shooting first will present their line-up.
- The team shooting second will present their line-up.
- When the line-ups are given, there will be no changes,
even in the case of a dummy position (unless determined by the team
captains or designated rep before the match).
- Forfeits can be appealed to the Vice-President in cases of emergency.
- Instructions for the Game 301:
- The teams are to play 6 games in the following order:
1-2, 3-4, 1-3, 2-4, 1-4, 2-3 unless decided by the team rep before the games.
- Team A will shoot first and third positions and Team B will shoot in the second and fourth positions.
- The verbal instructions of the machine will be followed (i.e., player's turn, when to throw, and when to remove the darts).
- The shooting player is responsible for pressing the player change button for the next player, finding the darts, and removing darts. Failure to exercise these functions results in the player restoring the game (activation of a dart before the PLAYER CHANGE button is pressed).
- If a player shoots out of turn, or any other misplay occurs, the CHANGE PLAYER button is pressed. The game will be forwarded to the round and scores of each player. If this is not possible, the game will be restarted.
- The change player button will be pressed after each player's turn. In the case that player A neglects to press the Change Player button the end of their turn, and player B throws:
- If player A had not scored on all 3 darts, and player B's darts were added to player A's score, the History function will be use to un-score Player B's darts that were added to Player A's score.
- The Change Player button will be pressed to restart player b's turn.
- Any darts that are verified to have scored will be transferred to Player B's score.
- The game of 301 has nine rounds, unless a player zeroes
out, providing that Team A's combined score is not greater than that of
Team B (i.e., if Team A has scores of 2 and 20 and Team B has scores of
5 and 5, player 1 of Team A cannot zero out). If the
blocked team shoots, zeroes out, and is still blocked, then a penalty
is issued where the person on the winning team gets the game point and
the person with the low score on the winning team receives the low
score points.
- The player on the winning team whose score is lowest is
awarded the Low Score. If both players are tied, they are both
awarded 2 points.
- A ton is 100 or more points in one three dart round.
- A super ton is 130 or more points in a three dart
round.
- If the game is tied at the end of the ninth round,
additional rounds will be added until a team obtains a lower score or a
zero-out. If a tie remains after round 15, one round of Count-Up
is played and the team with the highest combined score wins.
- Players are required to furnish their own equipment,
i.e., blindfolds, darts, and accessories.
- The point value of a dart is determined by the
machine. In the case of a machine malfunction, captains will
decide what course of action to take.
- Dart tips must be nylon and the dart cannot exceed the weight of 18 grams.
- Points awarded to individual(s) are as follows:
- Zero Outs - 3 points
- Low Score Outs - 2 points
- Low Score Outs (tie) - 2 points each player
- Tons - 1 point
- Super Tons - 2 points
- Every player must wear a regulation blindfold (blackout / blocks all light and has adjustable elastic to hold it tight to the face). This does not include bandanas or sunglasses. Any blindfold in question should be brought to the league vice-president.
- Players with physical disabilities who may have problems
adjusting to the shooting line may use a chair, walker, wheelchair,
spotter, or any other means of adjustment to make the competition fair.
- Spotting:
- Teams should have their own spotters. If a spotter can not be found, the opposing team's spotter should be asked to spot.
- The spotter is not obligated to spot for another team.
- No physical contact during time of play.
- Coaching is not allowed once the player reaches the toe board, i.e. "shoot higher" or "go more left," unless endangering other players.
- All players and spotters are obligated to notify a player who has violated blindfold or toe board rules. If the situation is not corrected after the first notification, the player's captain must be notified. If still not corrected, the dispute should be taken to the Vice President after the game.
- The player cannot step on or over the line while
throwing. For individuals in wheelchairs, their torso must be
behind the line.
- All players must put their blackout blindfold on while having their back to the board and before lining up to the shooting line.
- If a player needs to adjust their blindfold while facing the dart board, they must first turn around and then adjust their blindfold.
- Stat sheets: both team captains are responsible for submitting them by 11:59 pm the following Friday. (Two sets of stats helps verify accuracy.) If a team does not submit scores on time for that week, they will lose 3 points from their total team score even if they did not win any points that week.
- If there are only three players, the fourth player dummy
score is 100 points:
- A fee to be set by the Board of Directors prior to each season will be paid by each team every week.
- If a dummy score is used, the person who is missing will be responsible for paying.
- If a person leaves before they play all three games, they must use a dummy score.
- If a person leaves in the middle of the game, their remaining score is what they use.
- Each team can have up to five active players with the sixth player in reserve.
- All players in the league must be eighteen years of age or be no less than sixteen and play on a team with their parent or guardian or have that parent or guardian present when they play.
- Substitutes:
- There will be a substitute list available and kept by the
captain's representative. A player can be added to the substitute
list at any time prior to or during the season. Captain's Rep must be notified twenty-four hours prior to a game of a new sub. Captain's Rep, in turn, must notify the statistician of the new sub. Teams can also add a rostered player at any time during the season as long as their team has no more than 5 rostered players.
- If a substitute from the list is used, team or person missing is responsible for the substitute player's dues.
- Substitute players are responsible for paying $1 for the maintenance of the dart boards.
- All team captains must be responsible for turning in team money by the tenth day of the following month or their team will lose 3 game points.
- Noise should be reduced to a minimum in order that players may listen to the board.
- No discrimination or sexual harassment will be tolerated during league play.
- All players are responsible to act with good sportsmanship and to extend courtesy to others at all times.
- Make up games:
- All make-up games must be played prior to the last scheduled week of the current season.
- Games can be cancelled by a Team Captain, for any reason, 24 hours before a game, but remember that canceling and rescheduling can be very difficult for some players.
- Games cancelled less than 24 hours in advance are forfeited, unless agreed to by both captains.
- If a captain cancels a game, they must contact the other team captain to make up the game.
- All league members must be considered a player in good
standing, be current in all dues, not violated any rule, and have played a minimum of ½ the season to receive money back at the end of the season.
- All new teams must start at the beginning of the dart season.
- The secretary must be told of all practices, so the rest of the league can be notified.
- Venue selection: venues will be selected from first place to last in odd years, and last to first in even years.
