Twin Cities Blind Audio Dart League Minutes

Twin Cities Blind Audio Dart League Membership meeting,
August 5, 2025

At 6:33 PM dart league meeting started regarding the 2025-2026 season year

Present: Lisa, Gary, Ellen, Steve, Phil, Kellie B, Brian, Therese, guests were Kellie's two boys and my boy Ben

Bylaws review:

Add: in the event a team disbands during the dart league year, there will be dummies in their place, and their dues paid will be donated to the league. Phil made a motion to direct the funds to the tournament fund and Gary seconded it. There was some discussion that it be allocated by the discretion of the board and not just the treasurer. We voted on the corrected motion and all were in favor.

There was discussion about having copies of the rules and bylaws included in the captains' folders.

The April 29, 2025, minutes were read by Lisa. Gary made a motion to approve the minutes and Brian seconded it.

Vice president had nothing to report other than what we already discussed regarding the disbanded team. She hopes for a smooth year.

Treasurer's Report: the current balance is $4294.15 and prize money will reduce that. Bluehost domain is $36 renewed annually. Regarding board maintenance, Sam will check the boards which will be around maybe $200 to repair. We are okay financially.

There was some discussion regarding the finances and doing fundraisers as needed.

Gary made a motion to approve the treasurer's report and Brian seconded it.

The captains representative zoom meeting was July 28. It will be five teams and six rounds. Kelly wants team rosters in by August 20. We will start September 9. We won't be off for election day. We'll be off for Thanksgiving and two weeks at Christmas: December 23 and January 6. Teams at the VFW will be Chris and Riley, at the Eagles front board Ellen and Al, and the stage board Gary.

Old business: team changes: one disbanded.

New business: Stands were discussed instead of cabinets. We need the cabinets for security.

Did the bylaws.

Outreach next Tuesday in Inver Grove Heights elementary school at 9:30 AM to do a dart demonstration to the kids.

Open discussion: we talked about discussing things with people directly without talking about people behind people's backs. We also discussed restarting the outreach committee. We discussed using survey monkey to get ideas and opinions.

At 7:34 pm, Gary made motion to adjourn the meeting and Kellie seconded it.

Respectfully submitted by Lisa Sanders, webmaster and temporary minutes taker
