August 22 2023 Twin Cities Blind Audio Dart League President Phil Sporer called the board meeting to order at 6:31 PM. In attendance were President Phil Sporer, Vice-president Ellen Harrity, treasurer Kellie Bangsund, Secretary Janet Dickelman, and board members Colleen Kitagawa, Gary Boettcher and April Collins. Guests Lisa Sanders, Kelly Harrison, and Antonio Guimaraes Reports: Vice-president: Ellen has corresponded with Sam Jasmin our new boards should be ready by early September. Treasurer: our account has a $4,638.88 balance, the board fund has $1,581.81 tournament fund $1,256.95 the scholarship fund has $509.50 a payment of $34.99 was made for website renewal. Captain's rep: (given by Phil on behalf of Catalina) Catalina is putting together the 2023/2024 schedule. The season will begin on September 12th at 6:30 PM. She still needs contact information for some teams. If you want print or braille schedules please let her know. Score sheets, sub lists, and team rosters will be in the folders in the cabinets. Secretary: minutes for the April 11th board meeting were read. Outreach: A demonstration was done for summer transition youth at St Thomas by Shaun, Riley, Jordan, Lauren, and Phil. They discussed how the league functions, gave a brief history and did a demonstration. The kids had fun and the league was invited back for next year. Tournament: Phil had wanted to do a day tournament but time got away. Phil would like to hold a day tournament; he'll send out information regarding potential dates by the end of the year. A motion was made by Gary and seconded by Colleen to approve all reports as submitted, the motion passed. Old business: We'd like to replace the cabinets, they were built in Bemidji, Al Kitagawa's brother picked them up will try and determine where they were built. New business: Kellie B. has a league board which Phil will pick up, we believe Therese has another board, Janet will check with her. Kellie has a couple of stands. We have a new venue, Tiffany's on Ford Parkway in St Paul. Phil will bring the extra board from Eagles to Tiffany's. Open discussion: Antonio discussed building our own board (he will provide more information at the membership meeting.) A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Kelly H. and seconded by Ellen, the meeting was adjourned at 7:01 PM.
