Twin Cities Blind Audio Dart League August 27th Board meeting President Phil called the meeting to order at 11:54am. Board members present, Colleen, Gary, Gail, Shawn. Secretary's report Was read Gary motioned, seconded by Gail. Treasurer's report For the Period: 6/1/2016 to 5/31/2017 Beginning Balance as of 6/1/2016, 4,471.57 Deposits: Weekly Dues, 5,069.00 Donations, 1,600.00 Total Fundraisers, $2,178.17 Total Tournament, $2,307.50 Miscellaneous, $408.03 Total Deposits, $11,562.70 Expenses: Dart Board cleaning and repair, $468.30 Fundraiser Expenses, $1,301.99 Tournament Expenses, $7,848.16 Dart Supplies, $55.68 End of Year Awards, $3,395.00 Miscellaneous, $561.30 PO Box Rental, $70.00 Total Expenses:, $13,700.43 Ending Balance as of 5/31/2017, $2,333.84 Reserved Accounts: Scholarship Fund, $73.50 Dart Board Fund:, $1,807.02 Tournament Fund, $87.50 Available Cash, $365.82 Shawn made a motion to accept seconded by Gary Treasurer's report passed Vice president's Gary is happy to be your vice president; he is always available for any problems. His girlfriend is on the voicemail so don't worry about having the wrong number. Captains Rep report Season starts September 12th, end April 3rd. Off for Christmas after December 19th and come back January 9th. Same exact schedule as last year. Braille should be there by beginning of the year. Committee Reports Fundraising Having potbellies fundraisers every month raising around 100 each time. Had a Scentsy fundraiser, didn't not have an amount for that yet. Will do puffins Will have daily 3 tickets; make sure all captains pass out the tickets ASAP. Shawn suggested Little Caesars kits for fundraising, also Buffalo Wild Wings, and chick fillet Nancy suggested a craft table at her church again. Tournament Committee Will have the tournament at Comfort Inn in Bloomington. They offered the banquet room for 300 bucks, need to buy $200 in food at Outback. $80 rental for microphone. Hotel rooms are $89 plus tax. Talked about how to get non league spotters. Will try to start up outreach again. Phil will be getting around to doing outreach. Annie has a pastor convention that we may have the chance to teach them about blind darts. Old Business Shawn is doing rugs right after the meeting Shawn and Mike will take the board out of Memory Lanes Memory Lanes can't fit us on the schedule for a venue We have a lock for the board at VFW, just a matter of getting out there to install it. Want to look into a new lock system. New business Still need to get audit done Open discussion Message from Phil if you have issues or concerns He has a full time job, so is not able to get to things immediately. Phil will help those with city buses if anyone needs help. Phil also reminded the board members to be respectful of each others jobs, and to all other dart league members.
