Vice presidents report

Pretty quiet, had an issue with a dog and venues, got taken care of.

Captain's rep report

Had six teams this year. All teams seemed not to have any issues. All 3 venues went well.

Committee reports

Fundraising

Puffins
Daily three
Omni cribbage tournament

Question was asked if we do mostly internal fundraising or outside, and this year we did all internal fundraising but have done outside fundraising in the past.

Tournament we didn't have a tournament due to fundraising.

Outreach

Annie and Phil checked out a venue the VFW in uptown, spoke to a manager, but sounded optimistic about maybe getting us in. It is on a bus line, and does have parking. Was supposed to hear back from there booking manager.

Did not do any demonstrations this year, we were supposed to have some at the U of M but the program was taken over by Courage Kenny.

Old business

Haven't looked at the locks at VLR. Abby says it's a punch pad type lock. She says they are 7 bucks and might be able to get them at Amazon.

New business

Terry brought up the idea of leaving a roll of duct tape in each cabinet, that way captains wouldn't have to remember to take them each week. We could not leave duct tape at Merlins. It was decided that one roll of duct tape will be left in the VFW board and Eagles Club Board.

Abby brought up the point of MSAB which is the school down in Faribault, would be very interested in having demonstrations and could possibly get people who graduate from the program. Talked about going down in the fall because the school year is just about over now. Abby will reach out to them to see when the best time would be to do a demonstration.

Kellie made a motion to the general membership about restructuring the league for not having our focus of our league to have tournaments and to focus instead on the people of the league like our mission statement says. Seconded by Abby. Gary asked what would happen to the tournament fund, we would either use it for new boards, or to have some kind of fun outing for the league. It could be voted on. We could fundraise to do group events such as twins games etc, whatever the league would be interested in. Also discussed shrinking the board, wouldn't need a tournament committee, or even fundraising. Would also combine statistician and Captains rep since that job is done all at the beginning of the year. Final motion was to restructure the league to President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Captains Rep/statistician, and one at large board member. Part of the motion we will need to have a bylaws meeting over the summer as well. Motion passed.

Discussed holding off elections until after the bylaws meeting when the changes would be official and dates and times when it would be done. Also discussed having a transition meeting after elections with all the new changes.

Shawn made a motion to replace all boards we use on a regular basis seconded by lots of people as long as funds allocate. Motion passed. We amended the motion to auction off the old boards to league members. Seconded by Kellie motion passed.

We have 3 dart stands that need to be held onto, Shawn and Kellie offered to store them at there house.

Open discussion

Talked about if we have an odd number of teams we would still play a dummy team.

Janet brought up having a vote of at least core officers. Decided on having a vote on everything and if not enough interest then we would not have those board members.
